5 Day Orlando Theme Park ItineraryWith 5 days to visit theme parks you will be able to see a decent number of them and have enough time so you won't feel rushed. You won't be able to do everything that Orlando has to offer but you will be able to wet your appetite enough that you will have to come back at a later time. Please remember these itineraries are only suggestions. Each family will be different so please use these as guides and suggestions and modify them to fit your family. For families with young children (under 12) Day 1: This is pretty obvious: Go See Mickey! A visit to the Magic Kingdom will be the centerpiece of your Orlando vacation, especially if you have young children. As they walk through the park and Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, and the rest of the Disney characters you will be able to see their eyes light up with joy. Day 2: Take a visit to Disney's Animal Kingdom. With rides, shows, and live animals abounding you can spend a relaxing day with your family. Visit one of the great dinner theaters in the evening for a great night of food and entertainment. Day 3: Take a break from the theme parks and visit one of the Disney water parks. Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon each offer a different experience so pick one and cool off. Day 4: Explore the world at Epcot. Future World and the World Showcase feature exhibits, rides, and performances that will take you on a trip around the world all in one day. Day 5: On day 5 you can either go back to your favorite Disney park or visit Disney MGM Studios. Enjoy the Beauty and the Beast Stage Show, The Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, and more. Also, for you thrill ride enthusiasts, visit the Tower of Terror and the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. Both of those rides are great and I would highly recommend them. The 5 day Park Hopper Plus pass will probably be your best bet for this plan. You will have a couple of days left over on the ticket but the good news is that you can use them on your next trip. They never expire. You can order your Walt Disney World tickets directly off our website here. For families with older children (12+) Day 1: Islands of Adventure. This park has more thrill rides than any of the other theme parks in Orlando. If you have a mix of older and younger children the parents can go play with the younger ones in Seuss Landing while the teenagers lose their lunch on the roller coasters. Day 2: Wet 'n' Wild. With over 36 acres and dozens of slides, flumes, rides and more this #1 rated water park will be entertaining for adults and children alike Day 3: Visit Universal Studios. Some of the 3-D shows here (Terminator 2 in particular) are amazing. The combination of live action and special effects really draws you in to the story. Also don't miss the old standards like Jaws. The new Men In Black Alien Attack is also one of the most popular attractions in Orlando. Day 4: On this day I would spend some time exploring some of the smaller attractions Orlando has to offer. Gatorland, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Silver Springs, and many other attractions offer you a chance to take a break from the fast paced theme parks. In the evening check out a dinner show at Arabian Nights or Medieval Times or take the family to one of the fabulous mini-golf courses around the area. Day 5: It is time to head back to Islands of Adventure. You can hear the roller coasters calling you back. Since this is your second time there you will be able to visit only the rides you want and you won't get as side tracked by all the other activities you experienced on your first trip. The 3 day pass for Universal Studios / Islands of Adventure would be a great way to go for this plan. It would get you into Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios for three days. The parks are close enough so you can walk between them as well. Visit our ticket pricing page for the other attractions.
